Barrister & Solicitor
Ian Carruthers
Ian’s application to law school stated that he aspired to help people in a meaningful way. He recognized his privilege to do so when he was admitted to the Alberta Bar in 2016.
To make a meaningful impact, he would be exercising a great deal of responsibility for others’ best interests, one he did not and will not ever take lightly.
Ian vows to operate his practice ethically and professionally. He greatly prioritizes knowing his clients’ personalities and desired outcomes.
With the belief that legal assistance should be accessible and digestible to those who need it most, Ian has created an environment where open working relationships flourish and where he collaborates regularly with other professionals to best help his clients succeed.
Ian loves spending time with his wife and family, and he takes great joy in being involved in his church and community. He also enjoys playing the viola with the Calgary Civic Symphony. When he is not working, Ian likes to read, and go kayaking.
